Manchester United has begun its summer transfer activities, recently securing the g of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers for over £60 million. Despite this acquisition, the Red Devils are still actively searching for reinforcements in their attacking lineup. Discussions are ongoing between the Premier League giants and Brentford regarding the potential transfer of Bryan Mbeumo.

David Ornstein, a journalist from “The Athletic,” has shared updates on the matter. According to his report, the club based at Old Trafford has made an initial bid for the 25-year-old winger. Manchester United’s proposal includes a base fee of £45 million, with an additional £10 million in potential bonuses. However, this offer was swiftly turned down by Brentford, who reportedly requested a higher amount.

The London side is keen to secure a sum comparable to the revenue Wolverhampton Wanderers earned from Matheus Cunha’s transfer. Bryan Mbeumo has been a pivotal player for the Bees since ing the club in August 2019 from ESTAC Troyes for a modest fee of less than €7 million. The Cameroonian international was in fine form in the previous season, delivering impressive stats with 20 goals and 9 assists across 42 appearances.
